First post....and, anybody using a rimfire auto for hp practice....

Hello, my first post! I've been a competitive shooter for years: smallbore, airgun, high power M-14 (Washington Army National Guard), silhouette rifle (both rimfire and high power).... I'm currently competing in a .22 rimfire league, both rifle and pistol, and I'm returning to high power as soon as enough snow melts. My goal is to finish "legging out" in high power service rifle, something I should've done 20 years ago.... I've got a good AR, and I think I see well enough still to get it done.

My question: has anyone practiced indoors with a smallbore auto, like a Ruger 10/22, for the rapid fire phases of high power? What do you think of doing so? Worth the trouble?

Any shooting will help. I suggest you get a dedicated .22lr upper and use it for your indoor league.

I shoot an indoor sporting class league with my .22 upper. I still struggle....

I've heard shooting 200 yards with a 22LR is close to the same as shooting 1000 yards with a centerfire rifle. Making a mistake shooting a rimfire is way more noticable than with a centerfire.
