First perfect 1200 shot at Texas State Championship

Wanted to give a shout out to my friend Ken Dickerman. This past weekend at the Texas State Mid-range championships, Ken shoot 6 perfect relays for an incredible score of 1200/81X's. First 1200 ever shot at 600 to best of my knowledge. Glad I was there to watch it happen! Ken shoot two different guns over both days. His 284's are deadly! He also tied the national record on match 5 with a 200/19...the same record he tied last year as well!

Ken is a great shooter, and good guy. I believe that Ryan Pierce shot a perfect 1600 at 600yds a couple years ago, along with the first 450 clean in a Palma match. Awesome shooting by each.

I was scoring the target next to Ken all weekend - pretty boring. X on the right - X on the left - X kinda in the middle - X in the middle.
But it got exciting the last string. First sighter - 10 at 3, Second sighter - X at 2. As the first shot for record cleared the pits I could see a 12 o'clock disk - looked like a 9. My heart skipped a beat. When the scoring disk finally cleared the berm - it was a 10. I studied the disk in my 24x spotting scope. The spindle was in the center of the scoring line but was tipped up so at first glance it looked like a 9. Ken's next two shots were still pretty high, then he settled back into the center.
I asked him about those shots after the match. He said "I kept telling myself to Hold Low, But it just wouldn't go there".
Oh his 20 shot for record was an "X". Finished it off that the Champ he is.

Congrats to my fellow Arkansan Jim Fowler with a record tying 200 19x....that darn 3rd relay.
