shot my first F/TR match today with my "Sav-terion" .308. what a blast!
had pretty good conditions here in Malabar, Florida. summer time matches here are "practice matches" with the scores not sent to the NRA for classification. one can almost always do better, but overall i was pretty happy with my results, albeit the conditions were fairly benign. shot a 194 with 7 X's, a 196 with 8 X's, and a another 194 with 9 X's.
i am completely new at mid and long range shooting so the learning curve regarding wind management feels pretty steep. shot 175 Sierra TMKs with Varget and 185 Berger Juggernauts with Varget. both shot well.
I definitely will be back for more!
