First 3 shot group with new 6.5 Lap.

Well,

after 10 rounds of breaking the barrel in and getting the scope mounted and zeroed. I couldnt wait and fired my first 3 round group with the new Lawton 6.5 x 47 Lapua. All I can say is the thing shoots like a dream!!

The load was,
123gr Scenar .015' off the lands
Fed 205 match primer
Lap brass
36.5gr RE-15, I wrote it wrong on the target..
3 shots went .148'

Ive got to adjust the stock as the length of pull is too short and i was hunched up on the gun.

I think Im really going to like this rifle. More to come..

26.5 gr of RL15 - that's a super mild load - about 10 grains of powder below the load I used with the 6.5 x 47 Lapua - maybe it will make 2000 fps, if that.

I realized After I posted I meant 36.5gr Ill change it. It chronoed at 2840fps.

Ive got some rounds loaded 36.8, 37.1 and 37.4 of re-15 to try out tomorrow.

Robert, Your the guy that builds the AR Uppers? Im wanting one of those .224 ArMags BAD!!
