Does anyone know who makes a firing pin tool for a Borden Rimrock Action. The pin has 1/2 X 20 thread. Rather than the standard Remmy 1/2 X 13 threads. And no Jim Borden does not have one and as far as I know there will be none in the near future.
I also bought one directly from Jim a couple of years back. However, this one has both 1/2-13 and 1/2-20 thread pitch options also and is in stock:

Just looked at this...as I too need something for my BRM. Seems like you would just reverse the all-thread depending on action type...ie. thread it into the opposite end.?
Thank you.Yes. Like Jim's tool with a 'double threaded' bolt instead of two separate bolts.
Yes one end of the tool is threaded 1/2" x 20 TPI the other 1/2" x 13 TPI. The treaded rod is the same with a hole drilled on both ends of the rod for the firing pin to slid in so you are pressing on the firing pin collar.View attachment 1092701

I'm good to go right now but thanks for the offer if it was aimed at me.Be glad to lend ya mind, if need to change a pin & spring, but I’ll need it back!!
I am not genetically "Okie", but I apprenticed under one and have considerable skills.
I made one of these the other day with a turn-buckle body, and a small piece of tubing to depress the firing pin collar. Works like a champ. Employee cost at the Home Improvement store I work at was eleven bucks. (about twice what this Okie wanted to pay)

I'd go with the two welded nut method, but my welder isn't set up right now. jd
If you have a lathe it would be real easy to make a tool to screw into a reloading press to do the same thing. I was going to do that but my lathe is in a shop without heat and I could order the tool and use in my heated office to use it and needed to swap firing pins.I made an Aluminum piece to cradle the bolt shroud which fit in my lathe chuck, then used the tailstock chuck to compress the spring to drive out the cross pin.

Use with bolt disassembly tool and its super fast.
