FireFrom 6BRX from 7mmBR

Having problems....looking for some guidance. During my fireforming I am getting alot of casehead separations. Currently taking 7mmbr brass down to 6.5 to create a false shoulder then bumping the neck down to 6mm in order to chamber the case. After that, I have tried anywhere from 4.5grs to 8.5 of Unique. Too much for the brass to stetch?

I am using 7mmbr brass due to the fact I was given 300 pieces at N/C.

Any ideas?......or should I just bite the bullet and buy some 6mmbr brass and fireform.

Jon,
I would sell the 7MM BR brass and get the Lapua brass. The 7mm brass is not your problem. The Lapua brass is what makes the 6BR, 6BRX, and 6 Dasher what they are.

If you are getting case separation, the false shoulder is not holding the case tight in the chamber. You will need to leave more of the 6.5 neck to hold things tighter. I my 3 6BRX, I just load a bullet jamed hard into the lands, and shoot. Accuracy is very good.
