I don't have the ability to update the site. I am just a occassional contributor. Also, I don't have access to a 20 Tac or 204 Ruger case for a photo.

FB whats the highest Vel you have gotten with the 39/40's in the 20/222?? in what length barrel??

I can get near 3800 fps with the 39s in a 24" barrel with a strong load of N133. But like in my 20 Practical, I use the 20-222 for the lighter bullets. I shoot the 32s at 4000 fps and am very happy with that load in the 20-222. I have fired this load in one case 16 times and the case only grew .005" and was as good as new after the 16 firings. For the heavier bullets I use my 20 PPC and 20 BR. The heavier bullets recoil quite a bit more than the 32s due to their longer surface engagement and weight. My 20 PPC and 20 BR are heavier rifles than my 20-222s and 20 Practical so I like to use the heavier bullets in them. Not to mention the 20 PPC and 20 BR have the appropriate case capacities to drive the heavier bullets faster. But I see no problem in shooting the 39s in the 20-222 or 20 Practical. They would be quite effective. But for my use I prefer the 32s, more speed, less recoil. And I am not shooting them far enough to really notice the difference in BC between the 32s and 39s. In the bigger rifles I do notice the difference on the real long shots. This is where the 39s do well.

I like to think of my 20-222s and 20 Practical as my 350 yard rifles. And my 20 BR is my 500 yard rifle. The 20 PPC is my 450 yard rifle.
