Fire forming question

Hey folks Im having my rifle built right now and I have a question.
Im using PTG 6.5x47 bore rider custom reamer which uses the 6.5 AI gauges.
I am assuming that I will need to fire form the brass since I am using regular 6.5x47 lapua brass?
Normal lapua has 30 degree shoulder and this one I have is 37 degrees.
Should I actually fire form it or get hydraulic forming dies from whidden?
Also can i turn the necks now while the brass is unfired?

With my limited experience I'd say seat bullets at jam with a good load to form brass.
You'll be accomplishing a couple of things at the same time.
Barrel break in, scope dialed in "roughly" brass formed and preliminary load work.
Or get a hydraulic die to form your brass and still have to accomplish other tasks.
I've never counted how many rounds down the tube, but if I did I'd want to make every shot count, and accomplish as much as possible per shot.

Thanks for your input. I ordered the hydraulic die and a custom sizing die using my blue print.
Now I have to get PMA and get a custom angle carbide bit for neck cutter.

You may also be able to set it up like an Ackley. If you are not moving the position where the shoulder meets the neck, set it up with .003-.004 crush on the parent and use a middle load for the parent to fire form.

If not, you can neck turn them and then use a 7mm expander and make a false shoulder. I prefer to turn to shoulder junction before fireforming because that usually takes care of donuts. Matt

I will be using the hydro die and custom sizing die followed by turning the neck. I figured by that point the neck itself is not gonna be doing much moving?
