Yes Tod, Alpha makes Dasher brass. I just finished prepping some to try this year. They measure .0005-.001” longer than my sized brass ready to shoot and are .001” smaller at .200 than my fired and resized brass. I’m looking forward to trying them.Alpha dasher brass if you can find it
Still have to false shoulder. I don’t know if the shoulder on BRA brass would be big enough to cause chambering problems in a dasher or not.I get that you can buy Alpha Dasher brass. Not my question. Strictly a FF question between 6 br brass and 6 BRI brass.
Just thinking out loud. Like....what happens when you cant get BR brass, but you can get ...or already have...BRA brass. Would there be any issues.......maybe brass would turn out BETTER with BRI brass.Still have to false shoulder. I don’t know if the shoulder on BRA brass would be big enough to cause chambering problems in a dasher or not.
Just curious why you would think about fireforming BRA brass to Dasher instead of just using Dasher brass? Fireformed stuff is gonna need hit again before it’s really ready while 1x on actual dasher or “good” hydroformed brass is good to go. ???
Just buy Peterson 6 dasher brass or Aplha’s OCD Dasher brass. Screw fire forming, components are too expensive to make it worth your time and effort, unless you can get Lapua 6BR brass for free.I prefer FFinf dasher brass using the false shoulder WITH hard jam and Lapua 6 br brass.
Would there be any benifit in starting with ALPHA 6 BRI brass over regular Lapua 6 br brass?
Just thinking out loud.
