Fiocchi brass

I have only tried the Fiocchi brass in .223. It seems uniform and has been as accurate as any I have tried. Only issue I have seen is somewhat off-center flash holes. Surprisingly this has not seemed to have an effect on accuracy in my rifles.

I have only used 204 Ruger Fiocchi brass. Two observations. The case head to shoulder datum on loaded factory brass is really short. Like 0.010 to 0.015" shorter than my chamber headspace. And the 204 Ruger brass flash holes were also off-center. Accuracy was normal but it certainly isn't my favorite brass for reloading.

X2 on the short brass in 204. I've reloaded it 3x with mild to mid range loads, and no issues. The factory loaded stuff seems to raise some primers on a random basis. All from the same box of 50. My reloads have not had any raised primers.

I've not had any issue with the little bit of 223 that I've shot. It is accurate ammo tho.

I had the opportunity to load 100 303 cases; I started by measuring the thickness of the rim and case head thickness. The case head thickness was .060" thinner than any other 303 case I compared them with. I did not load them for that reason, a few months later I read a vague warning about the 303, they said nothing about thin case heads from the cup above the web to the case head and no one talks about cases with thick rims, my favorite case has a thick rim; problem, no one makes cases with thick rims.

If you were able to pin the case to the rear with the rim? Reloders believe the case is driven to the front of the chamber with the firing pin. I have one rifle that has a chamber that is .011" longer than a go-gage, that is .016" longer than a minimum length/full length sized factory case when measured from the shoulder to the case head, my cases do not stretch between the case body and case head when fired. It has nothing to do with the firing pin because I have killer firing pins in some of my rifles.

Their .223 Vmax ammo's the best factory varmint ammo I have ever shot in all 3 of my .223's. I know that the brass "sucks", but I really have to wonder when shooting 5/8" 5 shot groups, with it, if that "bad" brass is really that bad?

Not sure how I don't break a decamping pin...

Sure those arent googly eyes?
