Finished PRT Rifle #2 House of Kolor

Finished up my 2nd rifle now if only the ranges would open!
.284, Borden BRMXD, PRT Lowboy, Brux, Jewell, RAD. Saw a rifle Alex had finished and loved the color but wanted a Candy so Brett (Bc’z ) sent me a few choices of House of Kolor Candy.

Those must be really fine coats of candy color to let the grain of the laminated stock shine through. That takes genuine know how. As usual, your work is a cut above.

I have said it every time "This is ART" and the level of excellence is unbelievable. At first I thought it had scratches and imperfections sort of like a before and after picture then I realized it is all reflections. I wish I could afford your finish work. The bedding is superb.

I've got a technical question about the finish. Did you dilute the candy red with some clear to get that very translucent shade of red, or was it a stained base? Wonderful effect. Absolutely gorgeous!

The base for the candy color has 2 components, House of Kolor Sg100 which is a gin clear basecoat 3parts, then candy concentrate added 1part, for a 3-1 mix ratio.
Now reduce it 2-1 with reducer selection of choice.
