Finished Customers 243 today, here are a few groups that I shot

The first 5 shots for record at 100 yards.
The second target is a 10 shot group.
The third picture is a 5 shot group after cleaning and firing 2 foulers.
Not to bad if I say so my self. The first two groups were shot with some old scrap Frontier brass. I reduced the load to 42.grains and used Lapua brass on the last group.
All shot at 100 yards.

Nate did you have to do much to true up the reciever and did you sleeve the bolt.

I trued up the receiver, first, the lug abuttments, second, the threads, third the action front, fourth, the back of the lugs, fifth, the front of the lugs. It still had enough primary extraction. I replaced the recoil lug w/ PT&G precision ground lug. The barrel was dialed in using range rods on both ends simualtaniously.+/- .ooo1". The threads were single point cut to 2B standards. The chamber was cut with a PT&G 243 match reamer. The throat was opened up an additional . 075" with a 1*30 throatinng reamer. The stock barrel channel was opened up to accommodate the Rock Creek heavy varmint contour.

That rifle definitely looks defective. I wouldn't let it go out the door ;D

Very nice!

Awe, you provided too much details, now we can't ask you any more annoying questions! :-)

The final five shot group was shot with 42.0 grains. i started out wit a load listed in a loading manual as being a proven load. Yes, it was at the top of the load ladder. I wanted to proof the barrel.

That one's definitely a keeper - it'll be one happy customer. ;D Just out of curiosity, why the class 2B threads; was the combination of the barrel and reciever up in the area where the high end of class 2 and and the low end of class 3 overlap?
