Finally!

After weeks and weeks of rain I was finally able to get my range mowed two days ago. The photo below was taken from the 1000 yard line! Corn has been cut to the west and soon corn seen in photo will be harvested to 'let in the wind'! Winds here are normally from the straight south or south west and when cooler weather hits....it moves into the area from the west and northwest! Range faces north. Next mission is to spray the skeeters!!

In rear of the small mound the targets are placed on....there's a 25' higher mound I built 25 years ago that extends east/west a full 75'. My family has been on this property dang nigh onto 150 years. I trained here quite regularly when I was shooting NRA HP and Palma. Photo was made 500 yards from where my homesite is. Traveling time is therefore....limited!

get you a couple thermacells and you will have about a 40' circle to shoot from with no flying bugs,,they are awesome early bowhunting also,,

very nice lookin home spot to shoot,,

I live near Richmond, VA. so I can't figure out why there are no homes in that open area!! Has it been condemned?

The 'skeeters' aren't a problem! I'll just crank up one of these and eliminate the problem:

And so far....no major rains here in about a week so we're approaching what should be a dry spell!

I hate bugs and love airplanes, detest greenies...man, why did I not become a pilot spraying bug killer on bugs!? I missed the boat...er...I mean airplane!
