this is the first time i shot a perfect score. And yes, I know that one shot is marginal but they checked it with a scoring tool and it made it! I included the best group I have ever shot also but on a different date.

Note: this was only good for 3rd place!

Rifle is a Savage-Anschutz 64 match rifle (made in 1968) with the factory original sights. only modifications are a trigger job (down to 15 ozs) and a 3 inch rest adapter.

Ammo is Eley Semi-auto Benchrest precision 22. This ammo annoys me as I get about 1 round in every box that misfires. if I try to shoot that round again it shoots 1" low every time. This ammo has misfired in 3 different rifles. if it was so blasted accurate, I would use something else!

Nice shooting!

I must have shot hundreds of 10 shot slow fire strings in NRA Pistol competition and practice and never shot a perfect 100 at either 50 ft indoor or 50 yards outdoor. The closest I came was a 98 and that was indoors (open sights).

Your accomplishment is special, especially with iron sights - congratulations!

Great Shooting! Congrats!

Our local club has an open sight class and another does the same with a Vintage class---I have been looking for an older rifle to try them next season and try the open sight deal just for grins
Our guys are shooting Kimber Govt, 40x, Wichester 52 and others and a few 513's

Hell Dan,
You used to do that with a Silhouette Pistol! LOL
Nice shooting buddy,
Hope all is well,

Nice shooting. We shoot that A-23 target in an informal benchrest match at 100 yards. Very difficult to clean it but it does happen. Requires great ammo that works with the gun and good wind calls or no wind. We order a version of that target with the X,10 and 9 in white. Much easier to spot your shots at 100 yards through a scope in dark conditions. The down side is that you think you rocked it and when you walk up to the target and see a shot in the black it makes you want to cry.
