Finally got to the range!

So are you saying your happy with the load, or are you wanting help with the horizontal and vertical stringing?
Nice job btw.

what did the first look like
Well....nothing worth posting. The last time I shot seriously was in March or April. That's when I put the rounds together. Let's just say I'm rusty and leave it at that. The gun will shoot, tho. I was just happy to finally get behind it again.;)
My plan was to get serious and shoot once or twice a week but "life" got in the way.:(

Yup, it's a Weaver t36, but not yours. Yours is going on a 30-06.
I have a nice lefty if you need it.
I heard it was easier to shoot targets upside down. Heck, it was lucky I remembered my stapler and ammo.;)

357mag: 35 grains H4198, CCI 400, Lapua brass.
The bullets are 118 grain customs. I bought a thousand of them a couple years ago. I forget who made them but they came from Washington or Oregon, I think. I'd have to check my records.;)
The 35 grain charge is on the ragged edge of being too hot for my gun. I had a little sticky bolt lift on three out of 60 rounds fired. The primers look OK, tho.

You need to break your 6.5 creed out and regain some confidence. Surefire way;)

o_O:):):)I took my 6.5x47 with me, today. I only had 20 rounds left over from the last time out so I let my friend shoot them at the Ram at 500. After a couple scope adjustments, he was calling his shots. Nose? Hit. Horn? Hit. Eyeball? Hit. Back leg at the knee? Hit. I was disgusted with myself. Last time out, my best group with that gun was 6". It has to be me cause it's not the load or the gun!

Josh, this is not the time to shoot the Creed. Really! Think about it. We all know that gun will shoot in the ones all day long IF YOU DO YOUR PART! And letting down your creed would be...well let's just say your gun might be mad at you.

So I was looking at that target thinking 'why in the heck would he post that kind of crap' and I was really just trying to understand the reason for posting a group that size shot at that distance....and then I got it (won't tell you how long it took!). I think you should have added another round on each side of the smiley mouth and my dense brain would have recognized it faster... Good shootin!

Notice its upside down? When he was wondering why the group was so bad he was turning the target and his head like a dog and finally figured out he could blame it on trying to do art. That was a 10shot group if you look close- one is low (or real high because the target is upside down), shot #4 is under the pen and shot #8 missed the paper.

Is the target upside down, or was Josh standing on his head while shooting?

That shot by the U? I was aiming for the U and missed it.:( I started with the smile. The second shot from the right on the smile went high so I had to shoot the face upside down.;)
