And took my 6.5 Grendel AR all apart to clean! Nasty is an understatement. Looks like gas has been leaking from the gas block area, carbon build up was so think I had to scub it off and use the cleaner and accelerater on it... pretty sure I need a new gas tube, as cheap as they are may as well. If all the inners you cant get to normally were caked, Im sure the inside of the gas tube is caked too..
Ive done normal cleanings on it, but it was still acting up, still ejecting oddly, I knew something was up. spent 2 hours cleaning tonight, still needs more...
moral to the story, Im taking AR's apart for a full on clean more often. Lesson learned. This is the first time its come apart since built 6 years ago...
probably should get it cerakoted while I got it all apart now too...
unreal where carbon and junk gets trapped..
