FILM: Tactical boltknob

Not really that much info in this blog.

This is more for those contemplating an oversized tactical boltknob, but hesitating due to the "tacticool" factor. It really gives you control and speed on the bolt, and I think I'll recommend such an item for anyone interested in shooting fast.

And for those of you that shoot game longrange, you should be- it is only a matter of time before you deliver a poor shot and need to follow-up quickly. 100% perfect shots is for those that haven't shot enough or are plain lying/ in denial. :D

Also testing the Shooter app and being overly impressed with it. It starts giving low hits from 600 meters and out. You'll have to tweak it with a custom dragprofile for it to work "properly". However, it'll give you a good quickstart for shooting a verified trajectory.

I recently took a tactical knob off one of my F/TR (Remy 700 clone) rifles. The large knob was contacting my trigger finger due to the rearward offset of the bolt handle.

There's quite a difference between a Blaser 93 straight pull bolt & a conventional 60-90 degree throw bolt.

Installing a Louisville slugger baseball bat(TactiKool knob) on a 60-90 degree throw bolt as Charlie Watson found will interfere w/ trigger finger/pull.

As it's not a Hurst or Munsey shifter knob-you are wasting time reaching for a TactiKool knob.

Lift your index finger off the trigger followed by your middle finger & reverse the motion to pick up the next cartridge & close/cam the bolt into battery-DONE.
