Filling in a barrel channel

I have a McMillan with a wide barrel channel and wish to use a smaller contour barrel. What is the best way to fill the channel and so forth so it looks good?

Thanks.

We don't have Taps Plastic, but perhaps they have the products on-line. I'll check.

Question though: Does this add a thin coat, or can it be built-up substantially without adding a lot of weight?

Thanks again.

steveco if you use resin all you have to do is put a cloth called peel ply over it smooth it out . when dry peel it off and the resin will not feel sticky, and will sand very easy, the also make a spray cover that you spray on will do the same thing, but I used the peel ply.
