Filling barrel channel of a wood stock

I've recently rebarreled from a #5 contour to a #3. As can be imagined, I have a pretty large gap in the barrel channel now. Is there a filler that can be used that has a "wood-like" appearance? Thanks.

I did something like this once, came out to my liking. I wrapped the #3 barrel with three layers of electric tape in a uniform spiral no overlap wrap. I then wrapped it with two layers of Teflon pipe tape the same way. After protecting the stock with masking tape I spread a generous layer of common epoxy in the barrel channel. I then just placed the wrapped barreled action in the stock and snugged the action screws. Wipe off the overflow epoxy and wait for cure. Might take a mallet to shock remove barreled action. Strip off all tape from the barrel. Sand the rough spots, fill and sand holes if needed. It left a nice uniform .025 or so gap the full length of channel. I just spray painted the epoxy to match the main stock color. Most of it does not show any way.

AcraGlass Gel has dies that you can use to match the color of the wood
