Filled my antelope tag - **VIDEO**

Finally my turn to get out and fill my goat tag.

Actually found this one right along the highway and after some setbacks trying to access the area he was in we finally got on him at 600 yards. They were oblivious and he just kept herding his does straight at us. He finally held up at 425 yards and so I let him have it! Only a few steps later he bit the dust.

Video got kinda shaky, had some miscommunication between myself and the camera lady (my awesome wife ;) ) She didn't hear me call the shot so it scared her when I fired.

Congratulations! Nice shot and buck. I have always wanted to get out and go antelope hunting. I previously hunted a bunch in extreme south west north Dakota and went online to get a antelope tag, then found out non residents couldn't get firearm licenses for them. Next goal is to go out by you and get one. It's always intimidating going to a new area that you don't know. Anyway congrats again and totally jealous!

Good shooting! We filled some tags in WY on the opener. I wasn't able to get footage of mine, but did record my wife, father-in-law and hunting bud. It will likely be a while before I get any video put together (I still owe 40X Guy film of a few of our chuck hunting exploits in PA from this summer).

The 25-06AI w/ 100gr. NBT did it again, 514 yards...Put two in him for good measure :D.

At any rate, well done! For those that haven't had the chance to chase a goat, it is a hoot!

Good job. He handled that 180 gr. bullet pretty well... for a while.

Could the reason be that it was a target VLD.

Lots of debate out there on that for sure... still testing them out more or less but I've gotten an antelope at 425 (this one), one at 550, and a cow elk at 700 with them so far... so we'll see.

Good to know I will be trying 180 hybrid out of a 280AI this season on deer and elk.
