Filament for 3D printed barrel attachments

I'd like to print some mirage band mounts for my rifles and am hoping to get some feedback on what filament materials can hold up to the heat. Will be shooting varmints, so volume and pace is pretty quick and barrels get very warm. I swap rifles every 10-20 rounds to let them cool. I know PLA is out, but I have PETG and ABS on hand. Supposedly these will start to deform at 85 and 105 degrees C respectively. Anyone have any experience with 3D printed barrel bands, etc?? It is soooo much faster to 3D print, than hacking something out of aluminum on the mill.

When I need a material to be functional and strong, I use Nylon X. I use it for custom gun parts all the time, it is rigid and chemical resistant. Nylon would be my first choice.

PETG will deform over time. I'm not sure how ABS will stand up? It isn't as nice to print as it has bed adhesion challenges.

Cheers,
Toby

I'll look into the nylon, I haven't used any of that yet. I think I have a list from Bambu or elsewhere of what the various filament characteristics are. I haven't had any issues printing ABS so far but not a big sample. I also have one of the carbon fiber reinforced filaments on hand but I don't remember which one now. I figured PETG would be iffy and will try the ABS to start with.

I now have a bigger problem in that the elastic mirage band will be compressed between the barrel and scope bell due to minimal clearance. I'm not too excited about how that will affect accuracy so I think I'll need to shorten the band and have a longer loop to the front scope base.
