Ffp hunting scopes

Trying to find some scope options/suggestions. I was dead set on getting a vortex lht but it just isn’t in the budget right now. Gun is going to be a 600yd max varmint gun. Wanting ffp, light weight and probably like a 3-4x on the low end and at least 12x on the high end. Looking to stay in the $600 (used market) range. Thanks for any suggestions.

Take a look at Tract Optics, featuring HT Schott Glass. They have no middle man, sell directly to the consumer

For that price range, I suggest looking at the FFP Meopta's . Camera Land has them on sale right now through Christmas. I have a Tract and I like it too.

There was Vortex 6-24 FFP HSL in the optic for sale section. Not sure if it is sold or not. Should be close to your price range. I have one and it works as it should and handles the recoil from my 338 Edge.

If you can find one, get a Bushnell LRTSi or LRHSi

I have a burris veracity and have been very happy with it, good glass for the price range and it tracks well. Mine is a 2-10, but they have models with more magnification

Athlon midas tac 4-16x44 might be a good option for your budget. Definitely check out the sales at Cameraland for that. The Sightron S-tac mentioned is another good option. Check with lancexxx on this sight for the sightron.

Just a thought, but at the power range you are looking for the reticle isn’t doing much for holds at less than high power, and about 9 out of 10 SFP scopes will subtend correctly at the highest power so holds would be correct.

Might work to expand your search into SFP scopes, there are a lot more in that range. ( they aren’t in the price range your looking for but use Swaro 3-10x42 and 3.5-18x44 that way on my hunting rifles)

Who knows, and with optics planet it’s hard to say whether you’d actually get what you pay for.
To my knowledge the only ffp scopes leupold makes currently are the mark series.

I bought all of my LRPs from OpticsPlanet. I can assure you they were all quite legitimate

No doubt, I had an issue with them years ago where they triple charged me and I had to jump through hoops to get refunded then to find out what I had ordered was out of stock. Can happen anywhere I’m sure but it still left a bad taste in my mouth.

Just bought a couple of Arken scopes from Arken direct. Pretty happy so far and the 4-16 was in the neighborhood of under $300 dollars with a package included. I got 2 of the 6-24's.

The Arken ED scope is 5-25, FFP, and illuminated reticle for around $500. The zero stop turret is a great feature when hunting as it's easy to get lost under the rapid action of hunting. Now I have 3 of them!
