FEDEX: SCENIC TOUR OF THE WEST

Last week I ordered a new decapping pin from Sinclair because I bent my old one. I had it sent 2-3 business days.
It left Ottumwa, IA on Wednesday and so far has been to Kansas City twice, Laramie, WY, Ontario, OR, Troutdale, OR, Tulake, CA, and is now in transit Tonopah, NV. Maybe before Thanksgiving?

I had a USPS package go from Washington State to the nearest town to me. Instead of being delivered it was sent two more towns away.... Ah ha, they then must have noticed the mistake, so they shipped it to Nevada, then Colorado. Only then did it make it's way back to Montana.. Tracking can be a blessing or just add to the frustration...

Sinclair/Brownells is the absolute worst for shipping issues. They charge you extra to get it fast and ship it normal and hope for the best. Then when it goes to shit they blame it on the carrier. Done this to me a couple of times.

Midway is either a close second or in a dead heat for the worst. My last two orders took 31 and 28 days. Tracking for both was ineffective.

I know many of us, including myself, haven had some bad shipping results on ocassion. But I must say the amount of items my wife and I get shipped now days is 99;% good results. I have shipped a lot of USPS Priority Mail boxes this past year with all good results. Now, regular snail mail envelopes.....seems a bit slow often 4 or 5 days going less than 100 miles. Packages, I have no complaints.

My last two orders of bullets from Reloading International in Oregon arrive promptly with Priority Mail. They have very good prices on Bergers and ship quickly.

Got you ALL beat!!
Shipped a package to Minnesota by USPS Priority Mail. From my local Post Office to San Francisco then off to St. Paul, Minnesota.
Got to St Paul then back to San Francisco (??) but wait there's more.
Back to St Paul THEN back to San Francisco.
Once it hit San Francisco AGAIN, back to St Paul.
Headed to the PO to see what was going on.
Think it made the SF to St Paul trip about 5 times before someone nailed it down so it couldn't go anywhere till it got sorted out. All that and NO FREQUENT FLYER MILES!!
Was going back and forth for about a week. Made notice of the situation on this end AND the same thing on the Minnesota end. Somebody must have knocked it off the belt and jumped on it so it couldn't move anymore. ;)

Just think of all the experience your decapping pin will have when it finally arrives. ;)
If it spent time at the Fedex Troutdale facility, and if it isn't hardened, it might have adopted Gen☆Z attitude. Smoking weed, waiting on another Covid check, becoming an Antifa apparatchik, shouting slogans, burning and looting at peaceful protests.
If it smells like patchouli and skunk cabbage when you open the box, it's been ruined.....

My experience with midway has been the exact opposite. Just about everything has made it to my house in rural NoDak in 3-4 days.

Just remember all the great stories the item will have to tell you when you get it.

Had a trigger come in yesterday, but unfortunately had it shipped to my old address. Call up UPS to change the address because their website would not even let me log in and got a woman that obviously didn't speak English as her first language. I face palmed pretty hard when she asked me to spell "3rd st".

I live 3 hours from Ottumwa in KC.

An order from Brownells takes a week to arrive. It may go to Chicago, St Louis, then KC.

Midway is 2 hours away and takes 2 days, maybe 3. Grafs is 2.5 hours away in Mexico MO and gets here in 3 to 4 days.

Their shipping sucks, and is expensive. I rarely buy from Brownells unless it is something I can't get anywhere else.

LOL I placed an order form a online site 2weeks getting here they canceled the order twice and reshipped each time with a different carrier final 3 day delivery took 8 days FedX was the final delivery choice NEVER again

It can't be blamed on increased holiday traffic.
A. There isn't much on the shelves to buy for Christmas.
B. The container vessels are stranded in the harbor
