If Federal had chosen fifty of the stupidest morons of Tic-Tok to design their primer boxes, they couldn't have come up with a worse design.
Rant over. jd

But but but.....You may note that not all brands have that design. I asked Federal about it many years ago. It seems that a forklift driver forked a palate of primers and set them off. After that the feds mandated a design with more separation.
Well I guess Remington decided not to follow a Federal mandate if that's the case with their primer boxes? RIGHT.You may note that not all brands have that design. I asked Federal about it many years ago. It seems that a forklift driver forked a palate of primers and set them off. After that the feds mandated a design with more separation.
The others did not fall the test. Why only Federal?
Yeah, but if CCI didn't fail, and Federal owns them, I'm sure the packaging would suffice for both. I guess I read too much into it, but I HATE Federal's packaging. The others did not fall the test.
It has to do with the sensitivity of the primer to the test. CCI and Federal are not the same primer.Yeah, but if CCI didn't fail, and Federal owns them, I'm sure the packaging would suffice for both. I guess I read too much into it, but I HATE Federal's packaging.
That would be an IED!Ill take these in a ziplock bag if it lowers the price!
That is funny but just in case we, should warn those not familiar with the hazards of primers that they should not be stored in any other manner except the original boxes because unlike smokeless powder, they are an explosive.Ill take these in a ziplock bag if it lowers the price!
Evidently this was specific to Federal, in response to an incident that happened in their facility, not a mandate that applied to all manufacturers.Well I guess Remington decided not to follow a Federal mandate if that's the case with their primer boxes? RIGHT.
Ah heck, I hate to get the reputation of a complainer around here. But I don't mind mentioning stupid when I come across it. jdI'll take all the "stupid" boxes of Federal 205M primers you don't want.
Have we really gotten to the place where we are complaining about the manufacturer's packaging of reloading components?![]()
