Federal Gold Medal Ultra Match 22 LR ammo

For you Gents in the South with a Acadmny Sports and Outdoors store in your area. Past Monday, visited the Academny store near me N.E. of Houston Tx. Found they'd recently received a supply of the Federal Gold Medal "ULTRA MATCH" 22 ammo....if I recall correctly store clerk told me they'd received around $4,000 worth of it late last week. Anyway, Acadmny has it for $19.95 a box of 50. Checked Midway for their price and its similar to Academnys. Do not confuse the Federal Gold Medal Match (which is a lot lower priced) with the Gold Medal "Ultra Match".

LOL, the Ultra Match is too pricey for me. But, thought I'd let you gents know about its availability.

Also don't confuse with UM1.

And UM1 is no longer made. But UM22 is some really some of the finest ammo Match Ammo made, provided your rifle likes it. And not all do! I just happen to have one that loves it and doesn't care for the Eley which is also a superb rimfire ammo, if your rifle likes it. Just my .02 worth.

I have a large stash of UM1, so I realize that. I also have seen people trying to pass off 711 for UM1. I will not trade my UM1 for UM22 any day.

You my friend are an exceptional and lucky man! I've not seen an UM1 around since about 2 yrs ago when a good friend shot up the last of a couple cases he had. I wouldn't shoot UM1 unless I SERIOUSLY wanted to win a competition. But believe it or not, UM22 has won me a number of local comps and now that animal is almost extinct also. Too bad I couldn't score about 10 - 20 cases of UM1 before they shut down the presses on that ammo which is probably the best rimfire ammo I've ever come across.

I have several boxes of UM1 left from a brick I bought years ago. What's this stuff selling for these days?

I agree that it may be the best! I also grabbed some 900B when Midway closed it out, for somewhere around $3 a box, and it does not shoot much worse. Sportsmans Guide often has Eley Black Box and it shoot very well in my guns.
