Federal Gold Medal Match? Not so sure

This doesn't look like match grade consistency to me. First go around with these FGMM AR small rifle primers, I have been using CCI 41s and like them, they all look the same inside.

Anyone know what I am looking at here? Well see how they shoot with a known load tomorrow.

The green ones are for record and the others are for sighters

The green is a color added to identify the primer it has no effect on performance. The GM205M color is purple.

I have had great success with 205 MAR primers. Equal to CCI 450 in my loads across multiple calibers.

Tested a few primers against each other, same load last year

BR-4 grouped .288"
Fed 205 grouped .251"
Foreign grouped .211"

I've had the same observations for the GM 205MAR "green hornets". That is quite common. It does give one pause. Never read an explanation of what and why.

Fed LRM used to look like two shades of red. It was also said the only difference between LR and LRMatch was about $20.

Same here, alot of variation in a tray of Fed AR match primers. Some have the green on the top and sides. But I'm running them in my gas guns with no issues(mostly varmint hunting loads).
