Federal 210 vs 215 in 300WSM

This may seem old hat to you guys but I found it interesting

Rifle is Weatherby Vanguard Sub MOA 300WSM

In unfired but trimed, neck turned and flashhole preped WW brass. IMR-4350 63.5gr, 64.5gr, & 65.5gr. Federal 210 & 215 primers. 150 gr Nozler Partition & 150 gr Nozler Ballistic tip.

Five shots with each combination. In all cases the 215 primers gave higher MV and smaller ES.

I guess a magnum case does need a magnum primer!?

PS. My rifle liked the Balistic tips better in all loads.

Most common advise is use Magnum primers when very cold or ball powder is used.

I experiment with standard LR and magnum primers for 7mm Mag, 270 Win, and 375H&H. I like the standard for accuracy.
