Fed Judge Overturns CA's Assault Rifle Ban

One judge with the ability to think, ... cannot overcome a state full of people who have been taught not to think.
Oh they think alright. For a very long time in this country students have been taught
WHAT to think....Not HOW to think by teachers that have been taught the same way
in higher education.
To even question the rationality of a topic is frowned upon and punished in grades.
It's the communist totalitarian way. Never question authority.

This is some sort of mass hypnosis that people live in, this constant state of denial. I find it genuinely bizarre. Although I have come to understand that THIS is the very root of the tyranny. Half of the people ignore their half, and blame it on the other half, half of the time, which equals everyone ignores it all the time.

In other words, ninety percent of it is half mental. :)

As for the "assault" crap that's on the books, I wonder if this is one of those things that'll eventually make it to SCOTUS. Perhaps even this, the golden calf of the tyrannical types, will get smacked down and buried. Oh, what'll CA/NJ/CT/MA and the rest do then ...

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Perhaps most of the members of SCOTUS are actually beginning to believe what's written, what's there before their eyes, instead of what's been brainwashed into people's heads.

I've said it before. It's kind of a mantra of mine, but Americans knew who the Bolsheviks truly were, what is actually happening RIGHT NOW would become immediately obvious.

Because it's the same people. Literally. Now.

And no. The Bolsheviks were not freedom fighters saving the Russian people from the Czar. They were not Russians. They hated Russians. They were from New York City.

California has a lot of recreational opportunities and we travel there often -- we just try to fill up just before entering the state and not fill up until we leave. Our MH holds 140 gallons so we can go a long way on a tank. We may not be traveling there in the future as they are exploring the idea of requiring old diesel motors to meet newer pollution regs, even vehicles titled in other states that travel in California. That would be cost prohibitive for RV owners.

As far as the gun restrictions, the people of California have a say in that since they vote for their representatives. I figure if they are okay with it, then I am too. I just make it a point to know their laws and abide by them when traveling in the state. I do the same thing with concealed carry permits -- I check with the laws of the state I'm going to travel in to find out if they have reciprocity with Texas. What my state does worries me, what other states decide is of no consequence.

Tex, you need to forget California and come visit Utah, Yellowstone and maybe Glacier Park up in Montana. All gun friendly places.

Ha! Those girls only date guys that drive Ferarris!
I'm guessing if you own a collection of AI's, PGM's an AMP DSR1 or two all glassed with Schmidt's, there's probably a Ferrari already in the driveway. I'm sure the collection attracts those gals and not the car. Haha!

We travel there often. Retired now, but we were both educators — didn’t make much money, but got 2 1/2 months off every summer. Everywhere has something to see, we just don’t let local politics bother us. It’d drive us crazy if it did.

Amazing. A judge with an actual conscience and some integrity (with respect to the RKBA). Maybe.

I wonder if it's all effectively a ruse in order to get something in-play, to all but assure something substantive will get appealed all the way to SCOTUS. As part of the plan to take advantage of the seeming RKBA tolerance the SCOTUS justices seem to have with its current makeup.

Clearly, they're making this stuff up as they go along. The ubiquitous, power-mongering State, I mean. "Assault pistols"? Good lord.

One has to wonder, though. If they're even mumbling words like "assault pistols," then they're attempting to get the ducks in a row prior to a full assault upon the tatters of the RKBA that still remain in California. Not that that should be any surprise.

Kudos to the judge in question. Irrespective of the motivations to level such a ruling against such laws.
Maybe we need to coin a phrase like, “Weapon of Mass Protection.”
Effective for Catholics and non-Catholics.
Just think a positive spin here and there might help.

Actually the 9th said the California magazine ban was unconstitutional a year or so ago....don't know what happened after that.
Actually, the 9th Circuit court sitting en banc found the high capacity mag ban constitutional back in November 2021. SCOTUS vacated that ruling on June 30, 2022. the United States Supreme Court finally acted on pending Second Amendment certiorari petitions. First among them was Duncan v. Bonta, the case in question. The court issued a “GVR,” which is short for grant, vacate, and remand. So basically, SCOTUS sent the case back to the 9th Circuit court. It didn't overrule the 9th Circuit but is in effect saying "you are wrong so do it over"

Which is to say Kalifornia still cannot not enforce the ban.
