This is 5 yrs before I started shooting, was F Class recognized as an official class by the NRA yet?

XTR, YES it was. This quote is from the link article "The Course of Fire at this year's Nationals was changed this year, resulting in different point (and X totals) than one saw previously. The newly-approved Long Range F-Class target was used. With this target the 10 Ring is 1-MOA at 1000 yards (10") across, and the X Ring is 1/2-MOA at 1000 yards (5") across. This same target was used at each of the three distances fired. A "perfect score" would be 1200-120X."

@Lbart Larry, was this the first time F class was an official recognized NRA class? I was under the impression that at Oak Ridge in '05 it was not yet.

For some reason, I thought 2007 was the year when the NRA sanctioned F-Class. I remember starting with those new targets at the January 2007 match. (Or so I thought.)

I am such a packrat with oodles of storage space. I found the pdf for the 2007 NRA rule changes introducing F-Class rules (rule 22) and its targets.

2006 FCNC in Sacramento was the first Nationals with the smaller (current target). That was the first time I shot at 1000 yards and I remember several of the seasoned shooters complaining about how small the ten and X rings were, and I did not know any different.
