Favorite bullseye shape?

Just wondering what everyone's go to bullseye shape is? I find that I do my best shooting using diamonds. I think it's because I can make Sure the hairs are lined up at all 4 corners. It might be different if I had a target dot crosshair but I've never had one.

So..... what do you shoot best with?

I also like squares turned up to diamonds in “white with black outline". I paste four 1” sticky diamonds on 8” x 5” index cards at 100 yards. These cards are real easy to keep with date, gun, and reloading data written small. Lyman made these diamonds on rolls of 100 each. Only problem is it appears they discontinued white and only now make them in dark orange. I don’t like orange.

Depends what I'm ptacticing for. If my next match is a score match, I use a score target. If I'm practicing for a group match I use an NBRSA group target. I practice with a 100 yard match at 100 and a 200 yard target at 200 at our home range and on Concrete benches.

For a target scope, 100 yds, 1" square box with 1/16 " thick crosshairs with a 1/8 dot in the center or the small diamonds. (pdfs. below). I believe a lot depends on your eyesight too. Some of my shooting buddies can't see the small dots.

define what you are doing.
hunting rifle, 22 br rifle, long range rifle

for low power scopes i like 1" bars on the target. square up and shoot.
for very high powered scopes i like a very small dot as in a white dot in a 1 or 2 inch black square. simply adjust the target for what you are doing.
