A lot of 25/06's were blown up from detonation for using just minimum book loads.

Some powders are made specifically for reduced loads, do your homework and then start the scrounge for powder.

I recently did a powder charge test with rl23 in the win mag with 180 accubond. I think you could get it down around 2700-2800 if you wanted to. I started at 70 grains and that had good case fill and was only doing about 2850 with very manageable recoil.
