I have a fluted Bartlein with an 8 inch twist. It is a custom Palma style contour that is slightly heavier than a Remington Varmint but will only finish at 23-24 inches.

Looking for a 7 twist so I can shoot 80gr bullets.

I would stay with an 8 twist for 80s. It will work fine. 22-250 will spin them too fast from a 7. I have a Shilen 8 twist heavy varmint if you are interested.
