Farley Action Scope Rings

One of my shooting buddies just bought a 6PPC with a Farley action. Serial is 00261. It came with several sets of rings. I don't know what scope is is trying to mount, he removed it from another rifle. After mounting, in an attempt to zero it, he ran out of adjustment and the elevation is all the way down and still not zeroed. Also, the scope is 3/8 of an inch above the front of the barrel. Can anyone who has experience with these actions give me some suggestions.

Nick,

Had three Farley’s and bunch of rings, never had this problem. As you probably know, everything from Farley is a one off “custom”. Nothing is the same. Make sure the rings used are from the same set.

I have two Farleys that both came with Farley rings. No problem from scope to scope.

i had this problem with a Nightforce scope. Turns out it had been dropped before I purchased it. Sent it back to Nightforce and they repaired it.

Scope should not be the problem in this case as he removed it from a tight shooting .222 to try the new rifle.
