Webyshops.com is located in North Texas, and everyone in the office is sharing their findings on their cameras and talking about the upcoming hunting season. Needless to say, we are getting pumped up for Fall.
What about you guys? What have you seen come across your trail cameras? Are you all set up or do you have some purchases you still have to make?

I will be taking my grandson squirrel hunting for the first time.

He's shown an interest in guns, but I think that's a lot of tv/movies influence. I want him to learn that hunting is different than recreational shooting (or movies). I've got 4 different private land spots all set. The squirrels are SO much more relaxed than on public hunting land.

I still have my 20 gauge single shot my dad gave to me when I was about 10-11. That's what he will use. I need to take him to the range more so he can become accustomed to holding it.

And I plan on making squirrel stew. Lets see if he eats it. Wife's a vegetarian....she won't be! ha ha!

I finally got drawn for mule deer hunt near where I live so am excited about that. I remember it wasn't too long ago that you could just buy a deer tag every year and just go hunting but hear in N. Kalifornia not so any more. Ahh miss the good ol days! Almost forget what venison taste like...LOL ::) ;D

Kill an elusive white tail with a decent rack at my parents..First fill the freezer with some tasty venison breakfast sausage :P

Yep, kill a couple doe early with the crossbow to stock the freezer & then wait for the rut to bust a nice buck.

I usually kill 2 bucks every year and no does. Bow season is my intense hunt and will not rest until I put a good one down. I hunt alone and always hunt hungry to stay sharp.

I love bow hunting, it is a hole different experience..

Deer season of course although the last three years I haven't seen any legal bucks in the areas where I hunt. Maybe this year will be different.

Late fall / early winter I will be gearing up for predator hunting - yotes in particular.

Finally getting my wilderness elk hunt in unit 61 Wyoming packing in on horses , I cant wait for the experience.

Big Elk hunt in area 124, Wyoming where I live.. Other than that I will be thinning the rabbit population. But if the last few years are any indication not by much..

I'm just going to sit in my back yard and let the Elk and deer come to me :)
Last year I even had two turkeys come visit.

Might even go for a squirrel or two.

Getting ready to hunt is an all-year activity. Looked at some nice bucks recorded on one of my food plots in Georgia last year. None were shot so I bet they are bigger. Then wife took camera to church to find the bad guy that's stealing stuff from a storage room.

Heading to Georgia next week to look at property changes as there was timbering done on my place. Planning a week in September to use the tractor, brush hog, scooter plow and harrow to clear and put in food plots. Buying seed now.

Shooting to 600 yards couple times a month with different rifles. Have to be ready both on the range and on the loading bench.

Also thinking of getting another laser as my old Bushnell has always been a problem past 400 yards.

Preparation for hunting starts each day you are alive.

This.

I do shoot further than 600 but it is a all year project.

Hold your firearms almost everyday I can not stress that enough.

Check your screws.

Know your kit and where it is. That is in your house and on your person when hunting.

Co. I drew rifle bear tag, rifle mulie buck tag and rifle cow elk tag. I may get OTC archery either sex elk tag and got home Wed was up high country scouting and getting little fishing in for couple weeks. Seen few bulls up high cows little lower and lot of water/feed should be good year.

I have had a hard time keeping the deer out of my two gardens this year again. So I am going to take care of the big deer herds this year. I always get one or two but this year I am going to get my full limit!!

Sep: Pennsylvania dove opener/last chuck outings of the year
Oct: Wyoming Pronghorn (Rifle)/PA Deer (Archery)
Nov: Nebraska Deer (Rifle)
Dec: Pennsylvania Deer (If not tagged in early archery season)
June 2015: New Brunswick Black Bear (Bow)

We have plans on our 2nd annual squirrel hunt.
We take out local kids and some handdicap to experience hunting.
Its the best time ive ever experienced

Thinking about a trip to the Black Hills sometime in Sept to do some coyote hunting. Then back home to Wisc and bird (partridge) hunt thru October and first part of November, mix in some bow hunting (crossbow) and then hit Michigan rifle season on Nov 15th and a week later Wisc rifle season out of my shack. Best time of year for hillbillies like me. Barlow

I drew a tag for the Beulah unit in Oregon. Some really big mule deer bucks come out of this unit, but we are more interested in having fun, a big camp fire and lots of refreshments. Hate to waste time gutting and skinning. If we by chance kill a big one, that only adds to the fun.
