F/TR Events in Southeastern US

Where can I find a list of F/TR Class events to be held in the southeastern US? Mainly interested in events to be held at ranges from 600 to 1000 yards. I currently reside in Marietta, Ga. but that may change to FL. before the end of the year.

I live in Columbus GA and shoot in Shorter AL (300 Fclass) and in Blakely GA (full NRA course match rifle and F class). There are several guys that also shoot in north FL and somewhere in middle GA. It just depends on how far you wanna drive. Blakely is a fine match, its a challenging range for sure. Matt

From the Atlanta area it's a couple of hours up to AEDC in Tullahoma, TN and it's about three and a half up to Oak Ridge, TN. We shoot two to three matches a month at Oak Ridge and Tullahoma usually holds at least one match a month.

The match's in Oak Ridge, Tn are a real joy to shoot, the folks are friendly and more than willing to help all shooters, this is a great place to shoot F-Class and I believe they have a match a month. Tullahoma, Tn is also a very good match, the match director is a poster on here on this forum and he puts on a great mostly 1,000 yd shoot. Blakely Georgia on the other hand I would recommend to absolutely "no one". I could go into great detail ( but won't) into this place and the way it is run, you would be best served by just giving them a wide berth, they aren't interested in anyone showing up there anyway...

I might add that in Tullahoma they did in fact have a match a month there last year. This year there must have been some scheduling problems ( shoots are held on a National Guard range) there has not been a match there in several months. The next match is supposed to be sometime around Labor Day I think, and that is several months away.

Starting next month hopefully ( depending if the Pitts are completed) there is going to be a Mid-Range 600yds match starting in Linden, Alabama as well.

The 1,000-yard matches are much harder to schedule at AEDC (Tullahoma, TN) due to the National Guard training schedule, but we do have a few 600-yard matches between now and the 1,000-yard TN Long-Range F-Class State Championship over Labor Day weekend.

The current rumor is the National Guard training schedule should relax a bit in 2014 and we should be able to run about one 1,000-yard match per month next year (and not in conflict with Oak Ridge).

Riverbend Gun Club in Dawsonville has 3x600's pretty regularly. The next one is Jul 14th.

The Pascagoula (MS) Shooting Club shoots mid-range F-Class on 4th Saturdays at their range in the Pecan community, south of the 1st I-10 exit west of the AL/MS state line. The matches are organized as a league and are pretty informal. There are normally 8 to 12 shooters. If enough shooters want to shoot 1000 yards, the match director may include that range as well*. The winds at Pascagoula are notoriously squirrelly, making it a rather frustrating place to shoot.

*There are a number of factors, including the condition of the road to the 1000 yard pits, squadding, etc.

Thanks Guys. Great response to my request. To start with, I will probably drive shorter distances. As I gain experience, I may stretch out a bit to matches in states surrounding Georgia.
