F-TR Equipment - What to use?

I agree. It's a nice table at first glance but unfortunately it is quite worthless. They may have just listed the winners names and left it that that.
Well I am glad my time is worthless. I have tons of data from what the shooters used during the SWN, and I am working to compile it in several different ways so new shooters can see what everyone is using. It is hard enough to get the shooters to fill out the equipment list, let alone have them fill it out correctly.

At some point you need to quit being a keyboard commando and actually go out to the range an see what works for you.

Thank you for your time and appreciate your hard work.

I also appreciate all the hard work Matt and the rest of the Desert Sharpshooters do to put on this match. It is the best run large match I have been to for several years now. Matt does an excellent job putting together the equipment list with what information he receives from the shooters.

Scope - Nightforce Comp or March High Master
Barrel - Krieger Heavy Varmint 30 inch finished length
Action - Bat Model B
Stock - Kelbly 1M with adjustable hardware
Trigger - Bix
Bipod - Joy Pod

If you want that barrel and action... You're going to need a light composite stock like the 1M I mentioned. Many stocks are 5lbs or more.. the 1M is 3.5 naked.

Completely agree with @LVLAaron on the Kelby 1M stock . I've been researching stocks for a new one for the last six months or so , and it is in the final two . Even though I currently shoot with the Kelby K-TR . The other "Finalist" in my stock search is the GRS HYBRID . Not necessarily for a beginner , but it just looks "RIGHT" to my eye . Shot one under a .308 and felt like it was part of me . Ten shots at 600 with my round in his rifle . Eight X's and two Ten's . It's on order .;):D

They are very underrated for FTR (kelblys stocks). I think the fully optioned/bedded pillared price scares people away. The weight is perfect, they don't ping or bounce, appear to dampen well, track straight, etc.

Yep! And it's technically an Open style stock with a flat forend, so you can swap barrels and shoot open pretty easily.

I'm on the range two or three days a week and I still can't figure it out. I get excited when I see what everyone is using and for some strange reason I got a bit snotty when I didn't see the caliber listed. Not thinking that most would be using .308's.

From what I've seen online I can imagine it must be a challenge to collect and compile the data. @Matthew Schwartzkopf My humble apologies sir.
