Gents,
After my last match I decided to change a few things up. I'm currently shooting both Open and T/R classes off a Phoenix bipod/rear bag. (I'm going to dedicate to just shooing TR once my build is complete).
I've been shooting a 'hunting' style Protektor 13B, but figure I'd see better results with something a little more purpose built.
The bag I'm migrating to is a Protektor Dr. rear (mid-ears w/ heavy fill, angled, .750 spacing), and I'll be shooting MCM A5 and A6 stocks off of it, and eventually an XIT.
Just test fitting the A5/A6 in my office, it seems to let the bottom toe of the stock ride the stitches of the bag vs. up in the ears. Is this how most TR guys run their rear bags? I admittedly never paid that much attention to what others were doing in this regard.
Thanks in advance!
