Well, I'm always watching for rifle deals. Just before Christmas, I found an F-Open rifle on the BR website that Lester Bruno had for sale. Borden BRMXD, McMillan, B&A, two 284 Win Kreiger's, One new and one with just 200 rounds and a second magnum boltface bolt. My wonderful wife said OK so I went for it.
I had a couple conversations with Lester. He said that one of his customers brought all of his match rifles in for sale as he was getting out of shooting. Lester told me that neither he of Jim Borden built the rifle and he didn't know who did. Lester said that he couldn't reach out to the original owner for info as I wanted to know chambering details.
If the smith that built this rifle or the previous owner recognizes it, please PM me. I would really appreciate it, as I would like to know more about the chambers. I have not had time to seat a bullet to check the BTO. A new case goes in fine however, I would like to know the neck diameter before I fire the rifle.
Yes, I am real excited about this rifle. If I could just get components to feed it with.
