F-Class: Where to shoot spreadsheet. (Rev 20, 12/24/2015)

Forbes Rifle and Pistol Club near Albany, NY hosts registered matches from April through October each year. These matches are open to F-TR, F-Open and NRA Match Rifles (Coat and sling, scopes or iron sights). One-day mid-range matches at 300 yards are held in April, May, September and October. Two-day Palma (800, 900 and 1000 yard) matches are held in May and July and two-day 1000 yard matches are held in June and September. ShotMarker electronic target systems are used for all matches.

The club also hosts XTC matches at 200, 300 and 600 yards for service and match rifles.

Re: F-Class: Where to shoot/range info wanted for spreadsheet.

Benton County Gun Club in Benton, Arkansas holds short-range matches and also participates in the matches at Camp Robinson in north Little Rock.

Panola County Gun Club in Carthrage, Texas holds mid-range and high-power cross the course matches monthly. All the prone disciplines are welcomed and encouraged to participate during the mid-range matches, i.e. Palma, Match Rifle, Service Rifle, F and F-TR Class.

Info is available online by searching for the club name.

Come Down and enjoy the fun!
Shot there many times over the years! Was always a great match supported by many fine people! Would still go but....old age caught up with me!
Rick Mulhern says "hello" to any of the old heads there!!

Central Texas Silueta Association (CTSA). Mid Range matches on the first Saturday of every month. Registration closes at 8:30AM. E-Targets. Open, T/R, Sling, and Bench categories. Check details at http://ctsaclub.com.

Every Saturday at Wingham NSW Australia and most every other long range location in the state, say Malabar in Sydney.
300mt - 1'000yds progressing each distance each week starting at 300mt.
Check website for coming week distance.
Electronic targeting {HEX} all disciplines shot on the day, TR through F Open.

$20 club fee and there are club rifles + ammo that can be hired.
Good for those who would like to see if long range shooting is for them before investing a lot of $.
A real shame that Tucson's South East Regional Park range only has a 200yd though the last several years there has been noise of extending it to at least 500yds and I have suggested that they at least consider 600 as that is a Mid-range distance to compete at and also allow for long range load work up.
They do have the space for 1'000yds but it is apparently a matter of funding...
Any cashed up shooters that want to be "Community Minded" and donate a large bundle could most likely have that range named after themselves or their choice of names...
Tucson 3 Points is way and gone out of town and only has long range shooting a few times a month...
A real shame that it's 1'000 isn't used like Ben Avery in Phoenix where there is shooting opportunity every week.
Kempsey shoot every Saturday

Rev 20 Posted 12/24/2015.................

I would like your help on collecting specific info on Clubs/Ranges where F-Class matches are held.

I dont intend to collect info of when individual/specific matches are to be shot or to provide contact info (you want to shoot that bad, youll have to do some of the leg work), just the basics of where it is one can shoot. I subscribe to the K.I.S.S. principal and intend to keep it that way, but always look for ways to improve. So comments, suggestions and of course Range Information is wanted and welcomed.

This information will only be as good as the information I collect..
Please review and advise of corrections needed or additions...
Rod V.
Unless it's somewhere I'm unfamiliar with, and given the vastness of Texas quite possible, it is probably in Carthage, not Carthrage.

Yes, but terrible range conditions, mounds in poorly maintained and until recently no electronic targeting… Still not as good as the HEXTA system but the club is so small, especially now that the former Port club has quit the range and transferred down to Wingham that I think they are really struggling to keep the place running,,,
Range politics have also come into play… Sadly an all to often situation.
