Hey Rod,
Hats off to you for stepping up and doing this event! Many talk about getting new shooters involved, but you never stop getting the message out. If you need any help with the program outline, let me know. We have gotten good at this down here at Elk River. I will see if I can email you the powerpoint we use for our first night program. It will only cost a few beers and some lefse! ;D

Hey Scott,

Thanks for the words.... I'll be honest, I still really enjoy spreading the word and getting folks interested.. Lot of people out there helped me out, this is my way of giving back...

Do i get to be the sexy model doing the demonstrations? :P
While you are younger and maybe a little less affected by gravity than the rest of us, you ain't a model! Remember, Rod is giving the presentation. He needs to find something pretty for the audience to look at while he talks! ;D

Spitfirer, Xswanted, Xdeano, Dakor, and Brad.....

Spread the word.. we have 3 major F-class matches planned for GFK this year that have yet to be mentioned in the NDSSA event calendar. These planned matches have been approved by the directors of the Forks Rifle Club. The format will be a one day match on a Saturday consisting of a 3x20@600. I will have finite details for the Ice-Breaker match in May, The Summer Sizzler in June and the Frosty Barrel in Oct at the Seminar.

So please consider coming to the seminar at Scheels because my powerpoint will be geared towards getting the interested shooter started and what they can expect to experience their first time on the line, in the pits, scoring duties, etc. But also where can they go to participate in matches. The ND & MN schedules will be shared along with other states like WI & MT be also be available if wanted..

This our chance to grow F-class shooting in our backyard.. I intend on giving it my best shot.. I know the demand to do so is now and we can do it by being a network of dedicated shooters that come together and share info and inspire new shooters. PS: This really hard to type from my fone.. ;D

Please holler if you have questions. And don't worry Brad will not be demonstrating the latest in camo speedo swimwear..

Also, if you cant make it to the seminar but are interested in trying F Class, feel free to get a hold of me and we can always chat on the phone or meet another time.

Not trying to highjack your thread Rod......but that is how you got me into shooting.

Dean-O,

Rod

Hey Rod!! Your on stage in a few days. Just thought I would remind you. I hope you have a great turnout at your seminar. This is good work old boy!! The sport survives on great efforts of leaders.

Just thought I would share a follow-up on how the F-Class seminar went the other night.

Beyond the fact I ran the 90 minutes presentation over by 30 minutes and the minor tech glitches with the imbedded vid files, I’d like to think it was a success. For the first time out with it, it went pretty smooth.

Had about 12-13 folks show up and the feedback received tells me that most of the subject matter shared, was on right on target. I put together a powerpoint that targeted the casual target shooter/paper puncher wanting to take the next step and get into F-Class. Included basic history and overview of what F-Class is, the two classes, the basic equipment and the 3 different aspects of a match; Firing Line, Pit Duty and Scoring. Brought in rifles, equipment and targets for show & tell.

I did a little survey and follow-up emails and from what I am being told, attendee’s would have like more info on wind and mirage. This I will address and a revision is already in the works with a repeat presentation planned.

Over all it was fun, folks were interested and I hope to do it again.

Rod,

That was a great thing you did for those guys. That is exactly what paying it forward is all about.

Great Job My Friend.
