I have been appointed as F-class discipline chairman at my local rifle club. At the same time, we have a new Highpower chairman. We had a discussion the other night and came up with a plan. Neither of us knows if it will work right (provided we have enough F-class shooters), but we are going to give it a try. Here goes:
Our club has dual pits. They are 100 yards apart and both are accessable, via protected road, during live fire. As a result, shooters can, and do, shoot both 200 and 300 yards at the same time.
The match would look like this:
Highpower shoots 200 yard standing while F-class shoots 300 yards against the MR-63 and f version as appropriate.
F-class then retires to the pits to pull and score for the rapid fire strings - this is to speed up the process.
F-class and Highpower (XTC) shooters shoot together for 600 yards slow-fire prone.
F-class (and Highpower if they want a 1000 agg.) shoot another 600 yard string.
If the Highpower (XTC) shooters are not doing a 1000 point match, perhaps they would be so kind as to return the favor of pulling targets so all of the F-class shooters could shoot the same relay or at least finish up quickly.
Lastly, we would have a combined awards presentation.
What does everyone think? Has anyone tried this before?
Thanks,
Keith
