f-class savage stock

first time using one of these,can any body give me some tips or tricks on using this?so much different than using a regular stock,yes i have a rear bag and a rcbs front rest

F/TR (.308/.223) or F-Open (6.5-284 or 6 BR)? I'm guessing the latter...?

Normally you'd want to find a bag that has wide enough space between the ears to let the stock ride down on the bag (on the stitches), not up on the ears. Unfortunately... thats kind of tough with that area of the stock shaped the way it is (tapering in width from the grip towards the butt). You'll either have to let it ride up on the ears (better than nothing, just not ideal) or else modify the stock (either DIY-style or find a gunsmith who can do decent stock work - not just bedding).

are talking about tapering the bottom of the stock on the butt end?

More towards the pistol grip. See how the bottom of the stock goes from 1"+ wide down to about 5/8" wide @ the butt?
