I vaguely remember guys talking about a book or possibly two that were "must reads" for long range shooting.....

Can anyone point me in the direction of those particular reads?

Here is the website. I bought one and am enjoying it. Some of it you might already know but it is all good information and easy to read.

Also "The Wind Book for Rifle Shooters" by Linda Miller and Keith Cunningham

I'd also regard

Applied Ballistics for Long Range Shooting by Bryan Litz as an essential read for the F-Class and even more so F/TR shooter who wants to identify bullets that work efficiently at long range.

Sorry about that I have a business and was interrupted. Nancy Tompkins. Prone and longrange shooting.

I will add a few to the list since the two top choices are mentioned. There is several books that have good info hidden within even if not specifically long range. Tony boyers book is excellent and David Tubb's as well. Benchrest shooting primer, Mike Rattigan, Fred Sinclair reloading are all good building blocks. There is and always will be weak chapters in any book and time will prove some information wrong. I will tell you this with all sincerity that you must study yourself as well as the techniques.

Don't forget to read Corchan's article at the top of this forum. Pretty informative, written by an extremely knowledgeable competitor.

The Marine Corps are looking for a few good men, and they can teach you to read the wind. Plus some added benefits, and travel and you get to shoot against and learn from the best..... :o)... jim

Here's all you need to know:
