F-Class near Pensacola, FL?

Thanks Nodak. I am looking for 1K and 600 yards too but will see about getting over to one of those matches too.

pascagoula has the worst mosquito, knat prblem i've ever seen.no way to shoot with this problem!i'm told they go away with temps below 50 F.

This is your best bet if you want 1000 and 600 for the Pensacola Area http://www.marksmanshipacademy.com/

Pascagoula is closed until September and even then all they are shooting is 600 on very old dilapidated targets.

building a new range,to 400 yds north of elberta al,about 10 miles west of fl line off us 98.construction has begun, will keep u informed.i'll have free passes for all 6br members.don't know if we will affiliate with NRA at this time but they have been a tremendous help.

allen,
Blakely Ga. is where AIM is located which is western part of the state. They have 600 and 1000 yards with pits. It's about a 3.5 hour drive for me and worth it. hope you'll come up and shoot with us.

Dgd,

I saw a post on another website from a friend of mine who has shot at AIM. Now that I am wwwwaaaayyyy out of practice reading the wind and other factors I don't know about making that drive. :-[ He said there was more wind variables there than at Perry! lol Now this guy is serious about shooting so when he talks I usually listen... well sorta sometimes. lol

I will try to get things together and make the drive. Is there a match schedule posted somewhere?

Doc:
Please keep us informed on this new range. There are a number of us interested in testing loads beyond two hundred yards in the local area around Gulf Shores/Pensacola

Doc,
It is obvious you have not shot often at the PSC range. The problems you speak of go away about 9 AM. At least all the times I have shot there that has been the case.

we have had a shower every afternoon for 3 months!the skeeter and gnats are worse than i remember all along the gulf coast.the marsh at p'goula is 2x bad,it will get better in oct. or load up with off.if anyone goes soon give us a report.

If anyone cares to check the website for Pascagoula, you will notice only three shooters attended last months "bench rest" match. Must be a reason a 600 yard course cannot get more than three shooters.

well damn i was thinking about going to pascagoula and shoot when my other half goes to ocean springs to see her family

Depending what your discipline is, you might want to consider Palo Alto in Donaldsonville, LA up above New Orleans on I 10. They have an excellent range with modern equipment and professionally run matches. Join us for a monthly match and enjoy the hospitality of LA.
