Standard chambering any caliber up tp 8mm any scope, any rest, tweeking is allowed aswell as muzzel counterwieghts, reaload or factory ammo, factory trigger.I your just startin out on a budget this should apeal to you .gettin out on the range with rifle, scope, rest and entry level reloading equipment for 2-2.5 grand complete now thats for me! any body here got wind of this south o the boarder?

Nothing here in our Rules have changed that I or my wife had heard from the NRA (US) about.

I find it odd, even with the exchange rate that you would need to have that kind of money in a beginners rifle for F-class as I don't even have that in mine that has won Club & State Titles and hold a National Record with.

these prices quoted to me sept 1st 2011 by my area shooting sports store

Used Rem. 700 VLS in .243 bought through a forum for the action $425
Used .308, 1-10", 5C 32" Broughton Barrel, threaded for Rem. 700, w/oversize lug, 700 rouds tops $FREE
Used from ebay H. S. Precision PST-035 black matte stock, with Harris 6"-9" Bi-Pod mounted $295
New Old Stock Rifle Basix L-3 Trigger, still in the package, sealed, from GunBroker w/shipping $ 32
Warne picitinny base and Leupold PRW (30mm) rings used on a Forum $ 45
Leupold/Premier 20-50X5-LRT with hold over reticle used $725

I will not include ammo loading equipment, I have been at it for close to 38 yrs. so I have only bought in bulk the consumables wihich I use regularly in the 14-15 lbs. of powder a year in rifles.

After selling trigger, stock, floor plate & barrel for $350 I have this in it $1,172.00

I do have a usable machine shop near home, and did the trueing work myself on the action and bolt, and it does shoot nice.

After checking GunBroker for "Savage Target" I see that a .308 F-Class Rifle is in the $1,095-$1,199 range with a 6.5-284 available for $1,139.00 so your aover the counter sales are just like here, they ask at, or just under MSR.

I would hope that the NRA (US) would not do anything like this to our Rules as it's aready enough work to hold Registered Matches, if they want to shoot F-Class or Prone I'm all for it, just no more Classes or Rules.

F(M) also called Factory has existed for a number of years in Ontario. It is not new.

I have given a more detailed explanation in the other F Factory thread from this originator.
