F-class in N Texas

Does anybody now of F-class matches in my arera? I live between Ft Worth and Wichita Falls. 1ould love to go watch and see of I'm interested.

Used to be some at Ft. Wolters in Mineral Wells, but I'm thinking morons built houses downrange.

They are thinking of having F class at TAC PRO. also on 9/20 they are having the LSSO there come and watch and you will find out where matches are being held. Lew

We run a 1000 yard F-Class match the first Sunday of every month and a 600 yard F-class match the third Sunday of every month at Bayou Rifles in Houston, Texas. We are the only active 1000 yard range in the State as Ft. Wolters is permanently closed.

Not exactly. The Fort Wolters Shooting Sports Club is still active. Due to military restrictions we are currently limited to .223 only up to 500 yards. Restrictions may be changed or lifted in the future after some modifications to the range/safety fan. If nothing else, .223's at 500 are at least good practice. Sorry Jeff, I guess I should have clarified that there is no more 1000 yard shooting. I didn't know you could still shoot out to 500 with the .223's. Do they have a bullet weight or B.C. restriction ?

I sure hope they can get things worked out. I just haven't heard anything positive. With the possibility of moving back to the Dallas area, I sure have my fingers crossed !

It's a little way's to travel, but there is a 600yd match at Red Castle Gun Club at the John Zink Ranch near Sand Springs/Tulsa, OK. This is the last match of the year & is the 18th of October. They also have two 1000yd matches during the year.

It takes me only 2hrs or so drive time from my place. If you think about it, let me know when you plan on coming. This is a first class range.

I am pretty new to this type of competition, but I'm learning stuff & having a great time doing it. I've met a few of your members at the Red Castle matches, & will be coming to your club starting next spring. There are a couple of guys from here that shoot down there quite abit.

www.badlandstactical.com is 30 minutes from Wichita Falls and does not have open 1000 yard, but does have classes in long range shooting.
