F-class first for me!

These targets are the barrel-maker's dream come true. How fast did you shoot each string?

I think it was a reference to the ability to get 20 shots off very rapidly.

Personally, I shoot fast when conditions call for it and I don't take too much time otherwise if my puller is up to it.

My barrel life seems to be right in line with everyone else I've gotten data from.

How did the targets work for you?

.....
Why a barrel-maker's dream?

I think there's a notion out there that rapid firing eats barrels faster than slow fire. Now whether that is fact or fiction is anyone's guess, considering today's metallurgy and the things guys do nowadays to cool their barrels down faster.

Keith, the targets worked great. We had about a 5 minute cease-fire during the 3x1000 for a battery to be changed on one of the targets. We waited until the line was completed with their current string, then our match director drove down to the pits and changed the battery.

I have not noticed that I shoot any differently on electronic target. I shoot in the condition that I want and if it is present, I shoot quickly with either target and if it is not present, I wait for it to return.
