F Class/Benchrest rests (Sinclair, SEB or other)?

I'm looking to get a good front rest. I originally didn't want to spend more than $250 on one and was looking at the Sinclair Heavy Varmint rests, but couldn't help lusting over the Sinclair Competition and of course the SEB's. Are these high end rests worth the premium? I don't want to spend too much, but I have also learned that "buy once, cry once" is true with some things in this hobby when they are worth it. I love the looks and size of the new upcoming SEB Mini and I guess the price is reasonable for what you get compared to their Neo, but I'm also wondering how stable it will be with it's lighter weight and aluminum construction.

Farley is a good one if you have $$$$ and Bullets.com has some good ones that are very affordable.

I started with the Sinclair Competition, moved to a Farley, and now own two NEOs. My scores improved markedly with the NEO. It is worth every penny.

Go to the Bulletin, page #2, and read the review for the SEB Mini:)
This is what got me to wanting it. Good review and the machining looks awesome. I just wonder with it being lighter, how much less stable it will be vs the Neo and others?

Read the Jeff Cochran interview. He won F Open using entry level Midway front rest. A Brit won using a Choate stock. Savage rifles win. Records set with Criterion barrels. All components reach the point of diminishing returns.

I have a Seb NEO and a Sinclair Competition. The Sinclair is a good rest but the joystick and other features of the NEO have left the Sinclair collecting dust on the shelf. It appears that the NEO mini is price competitive with the Sinclair and if I was to choose between the two, I would probably choose the Seb based on my experience with the full size NEO. Seb's joystick rest is an impressive tool. To qualify that statement I must disclose that I have not shot off of any of the other joystick rests.

Cooper,
Do yourself a favor and buy the BEST rest you can afford. That choice may well be determined by your goal in having work If competition is your goal, don't hesitate to go to an SEB. If accuracy shooting for fun, then a Sinclair will work. I have a number of varying quality rests and wish I'd started with AT LEAST a Sinclair. If a joystick is included, I'd once again go with an SEB. If you go to any "SERIOUS" NRA sponsored competition, you will see an array of rests, but mostly top quality which means SEB w/joysticks and the twin towers. They ain't cheap, but you only buy once (or at least you should-get it right the first time) and you'll never have to look back. Just my worth.

For the seriousness of my shooting,(LOL) I'm very happy with the Bullets.com Slingshot cast iron rest ($165) with the Model 1 upper from "Shadetree Engineering)"($375). Makes for a pretty solid rest.
