F Class 260

A shooting buddy of mine is looking to build a F Class Rifle off of a Savage action and a Shilen Barrel chambered in 260 Remington.

He is curious as to what stock others are using with success and the pros and cons of different stock manufacturers and designs.

Thanks

For starters look at a Choate for $210 to see how that rifle works out.

Do it right from the start and you will be much happier. I suggest a Mcmillan f-class or a Mcmillan Tooley MBR. Lee

I agree with do it right from the start, which is why my Savage actioned F-Class rifle is in a Sharpshooters Supply Dogtracker stock. Nice price, dropped right in, and I like the pillar bedding. This gun shoots better than I can.

I think that the tube chassis is a better mouse trap. The reason is simple the bolt rides under your face so your sight picture doesn't have to change.

Here is Gary Eliso's product.

I agree. Plus they are very accurate.
