F-Class .22 Matches in South Texas - San Antonio

The South Texas Marksmanship Training Center sponsors a monthly F-Class .22 match (conducted as "Mini-Palma", with 700-, 800-, and 1,000-yard targets scaled for the 100-yard berm) on the second Saturday of every month at their exclusive range within the Blackhawk Shooting Complex: http://southtexasshooting.org/calendar.html. F-Class/Mini-Palma participants can optionally shoot either prone or from bench. The match is held simultaneously with the STMTC Smallbore Prone Match. Y'all come!

Could you post which targets you are using? I run a similar match where we use the TQ-3 targets at 100 and the TQ-4 at 200 yards. It is a great time and a cheap way to get into competition.

The Palma course is 800, 900, and 1000 yards, and the same target (1,000 yard target) is used for the entire course.

So you shoot 45 shots for score?

Yes, 45 rounds for score.
I will have to check with the match director for source details or 'type'-designations on the targets, but they are definitely three different targets, one for 800, one for 900 (mistyped as '700' in original post above), and a third one for 1,000 yards, with scoring rings progressively smaller from the 800 going to 900, and smaller again going to 1,000. Unlimited sighters. 20 minutes for each target, including sighters.

We shoot the same target every other Thursday morning at our Club. The target is the LR-S sold by http://www.pistoleer.com/targets/highpower/ Top row far right

As the targets simulate the same target shot at increasing distances they are smaller to simulate the decreasing target appearance as the distances increase. Club record for us is a 450-44X

Travelor,
Could you let me know who the manufacturer is for the targets you are using? I tried to find it on the pistoleer site and it's too small to read in the enlarged photo.

Thanks,

Ryan

sounds fun. Im close by
No problem sounds good, looking for any local competitions but assume we can get one started. What ranges do you shoot?
I am looking for Mini F Class (Rim fire) 50 and 100 yards and or Rimfire bench rest? Once I get organized I will be using F Class setup to should 200 & 300 to practice for my long range gun 338/378.
I should have my new Anschutz up and going in a week? Should be fun, cheap and easier on the ears and wallet for a bunch of practice.
